Telangana State Government

With the prior concurrence of the Central Government vide F.No.21/18/2014-IT (Vol-II), Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, Department of Food & Public Distribution, the Governor of Telangana makes Order namely “The Telangana Direct Selling Guidelines order, 2017”. This order was issued vide No. G.O.Ms.No. 29 by notification dated 1st December, 2017.

It is clarified in these guidelines that in spite of the distribution system adopted by a direct selling entity, the Direct Selling Entity shall be responsible for compliance of these Guidelines by any member of its network of direct selling, whether such member is appointed directly or indirectly by the Direct Selling Entity.

The Nodal department to deal with the issues related to Direct Selling in the State of Telangana will be the D/o CA, F & CS. The nodal officers for the submission of undertakings and oversight of compliance by direct selling entities shall jointly be Deputy Commissioner, DoCAFCS and Addl. Director, O/o Commissioner of Industries, DoI&C.

Any direct selling entity conducting direct selling activities in the State of Telangana shall submit an undertaking and proforma to the nodal officers stating that it is in compliance with these guidelines. Direct selling entities shall also provide such details of its incorporation and other business details as may be notified from time to time. Such undertakings need to be submitted to the Department annually.
